NYU is a reputed school with world-class facilities, study abroad programs, and it's in the middle of New York City. There's no concentrated campus, the whole city is your campus.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is excellent. There's an option to do research and to specialize in minors such as Cybersecurity,
Exams
My scores: SAT with Essay 1540 (800 English / 740 Math) IELTS (optional) 8.0 band overall. AP Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Computer Science, Calculus BC Median SAT: 1500
Placement
There are many career fairs and placement opportunities happening throughout the year. Most top companies in your field will reach out to you as NYU is a reputed school for placements.
Internship
I haven't interned yet, but there are plenty of internship opportunities available during your time here. The best way to get internships is to apply through referrals, and to apply on Handshake, which is the platform NYU uses for job and internships for students and employers.
Fees
Total is $90000 for tuition for 4 year Bachelor degree. This is after the scholarship, but you can apply for more financial aid every semester.
Scholarship
I received NYU's private scholarship of $29000/year, a combination of merit and need-based scholarship. You get considered for it if you indicate in your application that you require financial aid, and you submit the CSS profile with all the financial details of your family.
Faculty
Professors and staff are experienced and well versed in their field, as would be expected at NYU. The student teacher ratio is low enough for you to get to know your professor over a semester. Professors are approchable in office hours and via email.
Campus Life
Campus life is thriving with many events and activities happening weekly. There are over 100 clubs and organizations that you can be a part of.
Hostel
There are on-campus and off-campus options in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Usually you stay on-campus in your first year. Dorms are clean and you usually share a room, although you can pick your roommate. Each dorm has different facilities, for example mine had a fridge and microwave. The cost is around $8k per semester on campus and it's cheaper to live off campus.
