Swimming in college and studying my dream carriers of industrial and graphic design came together perfectly here with incredible financial aid. Our campus is only a 1.5 hr train ride to New York City which is a huge plus.

Course Curriculum

8

Just enough core classes that give you a little break from design and give you different perspectives of the real world outside of design, and just enough design where we are covering everything enough to where we can see what we like to design best.

Exams

SAT and ACT. As well as Environmental Science, Spanish, and English AP exams with a passing score that I do not remember to be honest.

Placement

3

Being so close to New York City there are many great job opportunities as well as in the bigger and more important cities of Connecticut. Again, for international students, it is not that easy and it is becoming very discouraging.

Internship

No, it does not provide internships. I am currently looking and applying to any that I find but being an international student makes it very difficult as sponsorships are required. As a matter of fact, I recently was just given an internship and had to take away once they realized I was international.

Fees

Fees are not big for the events nor are there any charges. There are not many events occurring on our campus.

Scholarship

Athletic scholarship for the Women's swim team as well as an academic and design scholarship.

Examination Structure

We do not have exams, we have projects. The deadlines are the dates of the exams. At the end of each semester, we do sort of a gallery walk where all our professors and employers come to see us and we present all of our work for the semester.

Faculty

7

I love my professors. The administration is not easy to get along with and the international student office is not very willing to help which becomes very discouraging as coming to an entirely new country and traditions are not always so easy.

Hostel

I lived in a dorm for two years and my only big issue was the cost. Sharing a room and living in shared spaces is it a problem for me. This past year I moved off campus and it is overall much nicer. I pay a lot less now and it is quite more comfortable than a dorm.
