It's close to my home, only an hour drive, and I like the big campus feel. I also thought that it was a decently ranked university and it wouldn't be too challenging for me. I also enjoyed the campus when I visited.
Course Curriculum
It's very easy so far. I'm only a freshman but I have a 4.0 GPA and coursework has not stressed me out too much. I am able to manage my time well and get in all assignments on time. I think the courses are not challenging.
Exams
I took the SAT in high school and scored in 1210, and I also took the ACT and scored a 29. I did not take any other.
Placement
There are lots of on campus job opportunities. I worked at one of the dining facilities on campus for a few months. Overall I didn't like it. I feel like they pay is really bad compared to the amount of work you are required to do. However I have heard of other on campus jobs that people seem to enjoy.
Internship
I'm not sure because I'm only a freshman and have not looked into any internships yet. I'm pretty sure they do though. I'm not sure about any stipends and again I have not had any experience with this.
Fees
It was about $200 in additional fees per semester. I also spent around $250 on textbooks each semester.
Examination Structure
Good, it varies from class to class. I most prefer the chemistry departments way of administering and structuring exams. We have 4 regular unit exams throughout the semester and then one final exam. For my other classes it?s usually either quiz based, or there's just a midterm and a final exam.
Faculty
They're okay. Pretty diverse. It's a mixed bag I think. There are some great professors but some have bothered me because of the way that they teach and the messages that they convey. Overall they're okay. I think at any university you will find yourself disagreeing with what you hear at times.
