I opted for Iowa State University for a couple of reasons and the first is because of their great programs. They have a number of exceptional degrees including nationally known engineering programs. They also have really low costs for admission which is a huge benefit.
Course Curriculum :
The course curriculum is great, they have many different kinds of classes that you can take to help expand your knowledge in various aspects. The classes are created to really push you and make you think k which I believe is great. Lectures and labs are still very entertaining and engaging
Fees :
The main fees include housing, a meal plan, textbooks, and personal expenses. Each area varies greatly because some people live off-campus and some people pack lunches and some people don't buy textbooks, so although there are fees and expenses they might not apply to you directly.
Examination Structure :
The exam structure is great. They provide enough spacing so that you do not feel overcrowded and still work with you if you think that a couple of exams fall on the same day. Lots of help and supplemental instruction is provided before exams to help students study.
Faculty :
The faculty here at Iowa state is great. You can tell that they genuinely care about your well being and want to see you be successful. They provide many hours of help outside of lecture and lab which allows students of all kinds to hone their skills.
