Joe Peterson Review at Pace University, New York City | Collegedunia

Pace is Ok!

It's one of the few colleges with an arts management program and it's in an amazing location. I got into several more selective college but Pace offered me admission to the honors college & gave me a lot of scholarships. I applied to eight colleges and was accepted to four. I graduated a year early with a 3.8 GPA. The Pace application was 50 bucks.

Exams :

No tests or anything was required for this program, I chose it because of my interest in film and project management. I did take the SAT and received 1370 on it. I did not take any other tests. One thing I think helped my application was a strong artistic portfolio, although it was submitted as supplemental to the application (not required).

Placement :

Our career services are probably the best thing at my school. They've helped me find internships, reviewed my resume with me, helped me write cover letters, and even set up my linked in page with me. I believe about 80% of graduates are employed within a year of graduation and the average pay is around 60k.

Internship :

Yes, anyone eligible for federal work-study can apply to on-campus jobs. I believe most are around 20 hours a week. I'm not eligible so I have no experience working on campus. From what I've heard, they're very relaxed and flexible.

Fees :

My program is about 40,000 a year. I have been awarded multiple scholarships from the honors college (amounting $25000) which require me to maintain a 3.3 GPA and remain enrolled in the honors college. I have a federal PLUS loan to pay the rest. I believe international students in the honors college are eligible for honors scholarships.

Faculty :

A few smaller classes, but mainly large lectures. Courses are never taught by TAs - always by the professor. It's a mixed bag, some teachers are amazing and some are okay.
