I chose this college for a multiple of reasons. My sister attended this school for 6 years before I did, earning her doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have been here for most of my life growing up and Stockton already felt like home to me.
Course Curriculum :
My curriculum for my program is very challenging and it is a lot of work. I am overloaded in credits every semester in order to graduate with my undergraduate degree in 3 years. It is heavily science-based so it is a lot of work but I definitely enjoy it.
Exams :
I took the SAT with a combined score of 1460, I earned 780 in math and 680 in writing and comprehension.
Placement :
We had an excellent career center at Stockton University, and they do a great job with mock interviews and helping students find jobs that they are interested in. They help students build resumes and make sure they have solid platforms when they go to talk to employers.
Internship :
They do provide internships but I have not taken part in one before. I have heard great things about the internships though. We have a hospital right around the corner that offers great opportunities for students in healthcare-related programs.
Events :
We have a Woodstockton concert where we get famous artists to come to play at our school. We also have a multitude of sports teams that have home games frequently. There are also events run by clubs almost every day of the week. Usually on holidays, there will also be some event going on in the campus center.
Fees :
In-state tuition with room and board is around 26,000 with fees and everything included. I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship which saved me more than half of that.
Scholarship :
Just applying to Stockton University already makes you eligible for a scholarship based on GPA and SAT score. With my acceptance letter, they told me how much money I was going to receive in scholarships.
Examination Structure :
I enjoy the exam structure at Stockton University. Usually, there will be 2 or 3 exams and then a final. The weighting of all of those exams differs depending on the classes but I have never had something so unfairly weighted that I was shocked about it.
Faculty :
The faculty at Stockton University is incredibly amazing. They are so personable and always willing to make sure you get all of the help you need. I have only been here for 1.5 semesters and I have had pleasant experiences with all of my professors.
Hostel :
I live on campus in a freshman dorm and it is great. I am really close to campus and I love being with all other freshmen so that we all get accommodated to the school together. My roommate and I get along so well together.
