I chose this school because it is just a 30-minute drive for me, so it is not too far. The school is inexpensive compared to Georgia State or The University of Georgia. The classroom sizes stay around 20-30 students which at Georgia State it would be 100+ students per class.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is good. There's a certain level of flexibility for the teachers to teach what they would like or for their certain style of teaching. One of my teachers lets us work on our papers at home, so we do not have class a lot.
Faculty
All the faculty I have had to encounter have been nice and helpful towards students. You can tell they care, and it is a nice environment and atmosphere to be in.
Placement
There are job opportunities in the coffee shop on campus, the cafeteria, and teacher assistant jobs, but I have a job off campus that allows me to study and work at the same time with much better pay.
Accommodation
Off campus, I live with my parents. I could share an apartment with friends, but living with my parents, I am able to help around the house and also save money that I would be spending any money I wouldn't see again for having my own apartment.
Exams
I only took the SAT because it was a good score and did not need another test to get in. I got 1,160 on it.
Events
Since my college is a community college and has other campuses, events are sometimes on other campuses. For the most part, I am just trying to get my degree, so I am not too concerned with events. I like to go do Zumba at the gym every Tuesday.
Fees
There are science labs fees and little fees, but for the most part, everything is disclosed and the fees are fair.
Scholarship
I have used FAFSA. It is an online loan. In my first year, I was out of state, so I still do not qualify for the HOPE scholarship, but I should qualify by next semester and HOPE pays for 80% of school.
Examination Structure
Teachers kind of choose the structure of their exams. For certain tests like finals, the board determines the format whether it's a free response or partially multiple choice. There is so much flexibility in writing and composition classes since the test grades tend to be papers.
