Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is very relevant, and I'm getting a lot of research experience as well as meeting people in the fields I'm interested in.
Faculty
The student to faculty ratio is 9:1. The staff are really great, I've had some brilliant professors. Favorites are Sam Sommers, Holly Taylor, and Lisa Shin for Psychology, Sarah Sobieraj and Brett Nava-Coulter for Sociology, Brian Schaffner, Rabia Zafar, and Deborah Schildkraut for Political Science.
Part Time Jobs
The Blue Lab - no stipend - I just emailed them about their associate positions, didn't go through Tufts.
Placement
N/A - haven't been through the placement process
Accommodation
No - my off-campus house was newly renovated and is very very nice. I'm living with three friends, and each of us has a single room. The average rent in Medford/Somerville is about $950/month if you want to be close to campus.
Exams
For my application, I had to submit my CV, a common app essay, and a supplemental essay. I focused on my writing, art, and community service experience - I've done a lot of those pretty consistently over the years, which is important as it shows dedication/passion for something and it's clear I didn't just do those things to make my application look good. I did not have to interview at Tufts.
Events
Lots of amazing clubs and events - I'm in the International Club and we have really fun events throughout the year. Clubs are a great way to engage with different parts of the Tufts community. WiFi isn't great sometimes but not too bad overall, the library is really nice.
