Through reflection, collaboration, fieldwork, and inquiry, students develop responsive teaching and classroom management strategies that enhance learning. Students construct a critical perspective of schooling by examining and addressing the effects of race, class, and gender on pedagogy and learning.
Students in this program pursue Ohio licensure in one of the following content areas:
- Integrated Language Arts
- Integrated Mathematics
- Integrated Science
- Integrated Social Studies
- Physical Sciences: Physics
- Spanish
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, english, social sciences, foreign language or related field
- Submit the official undergraduate trasncripts
- minimum GPA of 3.0 is required to apply for the program
- Submit GRE test scores
- Submit two letters of recommendation
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 78 in iBT with 17 minimum in each section; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 and 5.0 in each section
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- Pearson: minimum 50
- iTEP: 3.8 minimum
