Southeastern Louisiana University's theatre program is designed to give undergraduate students hands-on experience and the preparation, training and exposure needed to pursue professional careers and/or graduate training in Acting, Design, Technical Theatre, Directing and Playwriting. Our challenging undergraduate program within a liberal arts environment offer students knowledge and appreciation of the performing arts at a consistently recognized level of excellence.
All Southeastern Louisiana University theatre productions are built and/or designed by undergraduate students. Our student designers have been recognized for their work at both the state and regional level. Southeastern theatre alumni are currently working for such prestigious theatre/film/television companies as The Blue Man Group, ESPN, Martha Stewart, The New York City Fringe Festival and numerous Off-Broadway and film endeavors.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of secondary school and all other institutions attended
- Official transcripts should contain the subjects taken and grade information
- Submit official SAT/ACT scores
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; minimum 80 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 100
