Our goal is to provide our students with life-long learning skills allowing them to adapt to an ever-changing environment that requires an understanding and appreciation of chemistry. To accomplish this we offer American Chemical Society accredited degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.
We strive to generate new knowledge through research and other creative activities that will benefit the residents of Huntsville, the state of Alabama, the nation, and the world. Graduate training for research careers in industry, government, and academia is provided in chemistry, material science, and biotechnology.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have a bachelors degree in chemistry or equivalent from an accredited university
- Applicant must have completed lecture and laboratory work in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry, and materials chemistry.
- Submit official transcripts of all previous educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited agency like WES, SpanTran etc
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 18 in each subscore in iBT; 8 in each subscore of Essentials
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 in each subscore
- PTE: minimum 54
- Duolingo: minimum 105
