- Information Assurance and Security (InfoSec) is a cutting-edge graduate concentration in the Master of Science in Technology program at Purdue School of Engineering and Technology in Indianapolis.
- It provides a rigorous curriculum in cybersecurity and is focused on innovative education and research in this fast-paced and dynamic field.
- The MSc program typically takes one and half years of full-time study to complete.
- The MSc Tech in InfoSec concentration has two program options: Directed Project or Course-Only.
- The Directed Project option requires a minimum of 30 hours of coursework plus three credit hours of a Directed Project in the area of Information Assurance and Security. The Course-Only option requires a minimum of 33 hours of coursework.
- The InfoSec concentration is part of the National Security Agency (NSA) National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education and in Information Assurance Research (CAE/IAE and CAE/R).
- Students will have the opportunity to become student members of the Purdue CERIAS center and IU CACR center.
- Students also have the opportunity to work as research assistants in NSF-funded research and education projects.
- MSc students will be prepared to continue their studies in a PhD program at Purdue University in CIS, ECE, or CIT.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college.
- A GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale.
- No Official General GRE test scores are required if students have a GPA that is 3.0 GPA or higher on the US 4.0 scale.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelors degree from a recognized institution
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
