- The mission of the program is to advance the land-grant mission, hospitality industry, and discipline by: Preparing students with educational experiences that positively impact the individual, their careers, and society; and conducting applied, industry‐centered research to enhance the well‐being of individuals, organizations, and communities.
- The program provides students with a broad liberal education, an understanding of business administration (business minor), a solid foundation of professional courses in hotel foodservice, event management, and hands-on experience in the hospitality industry.
- The senior internship experience may be national or international in location.
- The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program requires 120 credit hours of courses. These credits included on-campus classes, required work experiences, and a structured internship.
- Students are asked not to enroll in any other courses while they complete their internship.
- Students can also work with their academic advisor to see if any other courses offered at the university will fulfill the requirements of the professional electives.
- Faculty may approve any set of courses a student can successfully explain to be supportive of their future goals.
- The hospitality management program prepares students for managerial careers in all facets of the hospitality industry including restaurants, hotels, resorts, convention and visitors bureaus, tourism, meeting planning organizations, and much more.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in ibt; 550 in PBT; 213 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- PTE: minimum 53
