Master of Business and Science degree with a concentration in Biotechnology and Genomics at Rutgers University-New Jersey is a 2-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
The objective of the program is to educate students in the essential skills for managing technical development and commercial applications in industries that apply and make use of the molecular biological sciences, including biotechnology, genomics and proteomics, biochemistry, cell biology, systems biology, and nanobiotechnology.
In this program, students take 24 credits in the sciences and 19 credits in business.
The degree is offered by the Graduate Schools on all three Rutgers campuses.
This degree incorporates business electives from the Rutgers Business School (RBS-Newark/New Brunswick), the Camden Business School, and The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR).
The classes are scheduled generally in the evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in biotechnology, genomics, genetics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field from a recognized university.
Prerequisite coursework must include two semesters of biology, two semesters of general chemistry, two semesters of organic chemistry and one semester of calculus, and one semester of genetics.
Students that do not have laboratory experience should complete the Molecular Genetics Laboratory course.
A GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale is required.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Student Eligibility:

The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Class 11 and 12.
Or, students completed a master's degree from a recognized institution.
