Teachers may apply if they are certified in any area of Secondary Education (Grades 7-12 or Adolescence/Middle Grades Education, all subjects), or in Special Education, Speech and Hearing Handicapped, Physical Education, Music Education, or Art Education. Two years of teaching experience as a certified literacy teacher are required for professional certification.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirments:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Applicants must provide evidence of initial/provisional or professional/permanent teaching certification* in elementary education (B-2, Pre-K-6, Grades 1-6), or Secondary Education (Grades 7-12 or Adolescence/Middle Grades Education, all subjects), or in Special Education, Speech and Hearing Handicapped, Music Education, or Art Education
- Submit an admission essay in 500 words reflecting on educational aspirations, objective of joining the program
- Submit two letters of recommendation from professors
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- PTE: minimum 53
