The nurse will gain knowledge and skills necessary to plan, design and evaluate healthcare programs in a variety of settings.

The professional nurse with the CSA specialty focuses on prevention, program planning, leadership in administrative roles and has an overall population focus. The various settings for the CSA graduate are diverse, with examples including public health departments (local, state and federal health agencies), school health programs, community health centers, clinics, shelters, home health and hospice agencies, faith-based organizations, academic and research organizations and nursing centers and hospital administration.
