MS in Statistics is a 2 years program offered on a full-time basis by Florida State University.
The Department of Statistics at FSU offers two MS degrees in Statistics: an MS in Statistics (36 Required Credit Hours) and an MS in Statistics in Statistical Data Science (32 Required credit hours).

There are two tracks available for obtaining an MS degree in Statistics:
- The applied statistics track
- The mathematical statistics track
The master degree in the applied statistics track is for a student preparing for a career as an applied statistician or as a statistical consultant at the MS level. This program emphasizes statistical computation, methodology, and consulting.
The master degree in the mathematical statistics track places an additional emphasis upon probability theory and statistical inference.
This degree prepares graduates to function as statisticians at the MS level and is a preparatory program for pursuing the PhD degree in statistics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution.
A minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) GPA in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree is required.

Indian Eligibility:

Students are required to submit their 4-year bachelor's degree with 70% or above from the accredited college or university.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
