Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an accredited school.
- Either complete or be exempt from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI).
- Complete the Nelson-Denny Reading Assessment.
- Pass the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) as evidence of a satisfactory level of performance in the basic skills of math, reading, writing composition, and critical thinking.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
