The upcoming courses haven’t been announced yet but will mention current sector skill gaps. New Post-Study Work Timelines
The post-study work visa also known as Australia’s Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows international students to live and work after they graduate. The Australian work visa durations will increase for graduates by the following timelines:
- Four years from two years (selected bachelor’s degrees)
- Five years from three years (selected master’s degrees)
- Six years from four years (selected PhDs)
While the government has yet to announce the degrees included, reports indicate that nursing, engineering, and information technology students will be prioritised.
By this post study work extension qualifying student graduates get two more extra years to work in their field and launch their careers. To reduce visa delays for higher demands, the Australian Government invested 36.1 million AUD.
