Important Dates
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
- The Master of Science (Computer Science) consists of 72 units. Students entering with a bachelor degree in the same discipline will be eligible to apply to follow a 54-unit pathway.
- Flexibility is built into the course and you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of elective topics.
- The program covers both advanced computing areas and professional studies. It gives the students the opportunity to select coursework topics from a range of disciplines such as computer science, information technology, digital media, software engineering or mathematics.
- A masters project is normally taken in the final two semesters of study and develops research, communication and technical skills.
- Students will complete an in-depth investigation of a particular area under the guidance of a supervisor and can opt to research advanced areas of computer science such as robotics, video gaming and biomedical computer science, looking into aspects like brain modelling and rehabilitation gaming.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, ICT-based engineering or a closely related discipline from an approved tertiary institution.

Applicants with an approved degree in behavioural science or psychology, which includes a major in artificial intelligence or computer science, will also be considered.

The Master of Science is not available to students who hold an Honours degree in the same discipline.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
