The Master of Engineering (Civil and Structural) is intended for graduates with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Structural), or similar qualification, who wish to undertake more advanced studies in selected specialist topics in civil and structural engineering. Civil and structural engineers create and maintain much of the physical infrastructure of society while managing and conserving natural resources. The goal is to do this in an environmentally sustainable manner, ensuring the provision of adequate infrastructure and natural resources for current generations, without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same.
Civil and structural engineers are responsible for planning, designing and constructing bridges, buildings, tunnels, structures, roads, airports, harbors, water supply, dams, pipelines, sewerage treatment facilities, drainage, pollution control equipment and coastal/port facilities.
The program has an emphasis on engineering problem-solving and design and analysis using modern, computer-based methods.
The Master of Engineering comprises a foundation year and an advanced studies year. The foundation year consists of a set of courses designed to ensure that students acquire a level of expertise in the relevant specialization. The program gives students the opportunity to study technical courses at an advanced level and the opportunity to engage in a research project.
An exit path will be available for students completing only the foundation year after they satisfy a set requirement in the relevant discipline. In this case, a graduate diploma will be awarded.
To remain in this program, students must maintain a high-grade point average (GPA) throughout their candidature.

My overall experience has been a very pleasant journey. Although due to the pandemic we had to adapt and change our livestyles, the university helped us throughout with all our difficulties.

Course Curriculum:

The course curriculum is very vast with a lot more varied courses that you can study. You may also get an option to study courses from different department after consulting with the faculty advisors.

I had a lot of counseling done and did a lot of research regarding the course I wanted to do and then I landed at the university of Adelaide.
