I was based in my home country in Sri Lanka and I was an online student
Because USQ had the flexibility and resources available for a full time working student such as myself to complete it successfully.
Online with a mixture of on campus. So if I miss a class I can catch up online opposed to missing out altogether and falling behind. For example, if I'm working late I can go home and listen to my recorded class.

Although USQ's on-campus offers were very good, I more liked the quiet and more spacious living arrangements, so I chose to stay off campus, but I only live about 3km away from the uni. This for me is the best option because it gives you more of a responsibility to maintain and look after.
The University of Southern Queensland was the closest uni to my hometown that offered the astronomy course, the next closest was Canberra and I wasn't ready to move that far away from home. Other places like Griffith and UQ only offered physics degrees.
I chose this university because of the proximity to my parents (same town), because it was cheaper than other schools, and because it has the highest graduate employment rate in the state. Also, the program I enrolled in looked awesome. And it is.
