- The College Professional Golf Management program reflects Humber's close links to the golf industry.
- Students will interact with recognized industry professionals who teach most of the courses: Bob Beauchemin, former PGA touring professional, Canadian Tour Commissioner, and National Post Top 50 golf instructor in Canada; Ian Scott, general manager, Mississauga Golf and Country Club; Colin Thompson, head professional, St. George's Golf and Country Club.
- The program coordinator is the head coach of Canada's National College University Team.
- Humber's men's golf team claimed national championships in six of the past seven years, and the women's team is the reigning national champion.
- Students take a broad spectrum of courses that prepare them to work as golf professionals: management accounting in golf operations, turf management, golf operations, human resources management, computer applications, and food and beverage operations.
If students have a passion for golf and a business head, this program will provide students with the skills and knowledge to tee off into the career of their dreams. Upon graduation, student's deep understanding of both the sport and the business side of the game will allow them to pursue a variety of roles in the $12.03-billion Canadian industry including:
- golf course or facility manager
- golf shop retail manager
- tournament and special event co-ordinator
- teaching and training professional
- equipment, clothing, and a merchandise sales representative
- golf equipment or apparel manufacturing
- golf equipment sales and custom fitting
- marketing and sales
Learning from industry pros, students gain hands-on experience with the latest golf technology, software, and equipment in our world-class, newly renovated Golf Lab facility (pictures below), and receive golf coaching, club fitting, and swing analysis from college team of PGA of Canada members

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students required an Ontario Secondary Diploma (OSSD) or an OSSD Equivalency.
- If students do not have an OSSD but are 19 years of age or older, they may be eligible to apply as mature applicants.
- English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent.
- Mathematics Grade 11 M or U or 12 C, or U, or equivalent.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Secured a minimum of 70% marks in one of these certificates: All India Senior School Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Indian School Certificate.
- Completed grade 11 and grade 12 with 70% marks.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
- Resume/CV - This provides a summary of your experience and skills.
- English Language Requirement Scores like TOEFL, IELTS,..etc.

Student's deep understanding of both the sport and the business side of the game will make them an asset among employers who are seeking talented professional golf managers. Begin student's career path towards managing a golf course, pro shop, or golf course facility, directing tournaments, and special events, becoming a teaching professional, or becoming a retail sales agent or manager with a piece of golf equipment and apparel manufacturer.
College is conveniently located close to many of Canada’s top golf course facilities including Glen Abbey Golf Club, The National Golf Club of Canada, and St. George’s Golf and Country Club. These top facilities and many others across Canada will seek expertise and provide students with excellent employment opportunities. Employers of this program include more than 800 Ontario golf facilities.
