- Graduates of the Occupational Health and Safety diploma program provide the knowledge and leadership necessary to develop programs in industry that will assist in conserving life, health and property; improve productivity by implementing loss-control programs in consultation with company and labour officials; identify health and safety hazards in the work environment and advise corrective action.
- The occupational health and safety professional plays a major role in the development and application of accident investigations, risk assessments, loss prevention, and safety training programs for workers.

Meet the following entrance requirements:
- English: two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following:
- English Studies 12 (67%) or
- English First Peoples 12 (67%) or
- Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses or
- 3.0 credits of post-secondary English, humanities or social sciences (67%) from a recognized institution
- Chemistry 11 (50%)
- Physics 11 (50%)
- Math: one of the following:
- Pre-Calculus 12 (50%) or
- Foundations of Math 12 (60%) or
- Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses
