1. I was accepted for a master's program at a University without GMAT. 2. The length of my program was just 18 months. 3. I was eligible for direct admission and I wasn't required to take any pre-masters course. 4. After completion of this course, students receive 3 year of Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). 5. The university is situated in one of the most beautiful places in the country.
Course Curriculum :
Royal Roads is not a big university and the courses are limited here. It is also considered a young university that is still trying to expand its operations. The campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in Canada because the university is situated on a national historic site. The Master of Global Management (MGM) is one of the famous courses among international students. This course has various subjects from different areas of subjects and the university decides what courses students should study so, students are not provided with the option to choose their own subjects. Some of these courses are not updated as per the current market demand. I believe that the subjects should include more practical exposure related to the current market situation.
Exams :
For Master of Global Management: IELTS Score - 6.5, No GMAT required. In some cases, students are required to pass some pre-master courses. During the application, University asks for a Statement of Intent, Letters of Reference, and an updated Resume.
Placement :
There is not a large space for campus placement. University itself ask the students to grow their networking to find jobs. University only prepares students on how to prepare resumes and cover letters or how to approach employers. So, students are totally dependent on themselves to find a job. University also has a job portal but the job posted on that is very limited. So, my suggestion is not to depend on the university to find a full-time job.
Internship :

Events :
As I mentioned earlier Royal Roads University, Victoria is not a large university, so the campus is small, and there is a limited number of students in the university. University conducts campus connect programs, where students can participate in various fun activities. There is not much to do in extracurricular activities and I think this is because of the limited number of students in the university. University has one recreation center where students can go for gym activities and play some sports like badminton or basketball. The university has a library which has some beautiful areas for sitting and studying.

Faculty :
I felt a lack of enthusiasm in some of the professors and most of these are enjoying their retirement and teaching at the university just to make some extra money. In most classes, there are 25-30 students and they are divided into teams of 4-5 students in one team for team projects. Mostly only one professor conducts the class of 25-30 students. Professors are generally easily approachable and if they are not available on campus, you can email the professor through the university's internal email platform. Sean Irwin was one of the professors whose class I liked the most. He taught me economics and he has great skills about how to transfer knowledge to the students through interactive sessions.
Hostel :
University has a building for a temporary stay. The international students can stay in this building for up to two weeks or until they find accommodation but the university charges 30-35 dollars per day and there is no food included in this. While staying on the campus for accommodation students should carry some easy-to-cook food as this building has a kitchen area with a microwave and refrigerator but no stoves. After landing in Victoria, students can find accommodations outside the campus but they have to make a list of their budget and requirements. The average cost of a single room is $600-$1000 and the cost also depends on the location and type of house.
