Kendra Review at Humber College, Toronto | Collegedunia

My school isnt perfect but it feels like home

K
6.8 /10

Close to home, good entrance scholarship, my dad is an alumni, the program has great placement hours, the humber gym is very nice and it's close to my family. This program has opened my eyes to what social services look like inside.

Course Curriculum :

It could talk more about varying populations and possible career paths other than counselling and kids. I wanna know more about working with older adults and case notes and behind the scenes work. Not everyone wants to be a counsellor.

Fees :

Tuition, activities, gym memberships, student union, text books, health insurance, services, among other things.

Examination Structure :

Each exam is 2 hours and they can be multiple choice, true or false, long answer, short answer, or any combination of the above. There are scantrons and test packets and you always know about them before hand.

Faculty :

So far they have been fairly nice except for a couple cases. I find some profs really care about explaining and helping students to understand, while some profs think that reading info off the PowerPoint slides is enough to teach a class.
