Bernice Review at Sheridan College, Oakville | Collegedunia

Sheridan game design

B
6.7 /10

I was drawn to their bachelor of game design program. At the time, it was the only game design program that offered a bachelors degree in Ontario. Other colleges mainly only offered a college diploma upon completion.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is really well rounded. Game design encompasses so many aspects of game development, so it is essential for us to understand a little bit of everything. That being said, it sometimes feels very spread out, since students don't know what to focus on.

Fees :

Tuition came in 2 parts, (winter and fall), and we would pay about 2 months before the term began. There weren't any other mandatory charges, everything else was more or less optional, such as program goodies.

Examination Structure :

We don't really have exams in my program, due to it being a college. When we do, they are usually completed in class, through using the school network. Elective classes are more likely to have final exams and scantrons.

Faculty :

The faculty are more or less good. They are all from the industry, and usually offer good advice in terms of how to get into the industry and such. Apart from a few profs who are also running a studio, they are also usually responsive to our emails, and are open to providing accommodation if something comes up.
