I chose sheridan because I wasnt sure what I wanted to do as a career and I took a pretty general art course to get me started and figure out what I liked. I also chose sheridan because I knew that had a special effects makeup program, which I planned on possibly applying to.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is very repetitive but useful to make better habits if you don't know what you want to do with your art skills. It is a good stepping stone but you definitely can't find a job after graduating VCA.
Fees
There is a 500 dollar deposit fee due sometime in June for September classes. VCA is about 5000 per year. I spent about 200 or 300 dollars per semester in supplies (paint, paper, brushes, Conte, etc)
Examination Structure
Most classes dont have exams. If they do, it is incredibly easy. The only classes that almost always have exams are the electives, but those have nothing to do with your other courses. Any exam for VCA is basically just a quiz.
Faculty
Most of the faculty is nice and knows what they're doing. A lot of the have experience in the industry they teach and show their work in class so we can see how they create their art. There are a few rude teachers.
