I am from the Yukon and this school had a nice close location. The department also had a very good reputation. I also liked the course selection as compared to other universities that I was considering.
Course Curriculum
Since I am an honors student, my class choices are somewhat limited, but all the required courses are very interesting. The program also offers very interesting electives. I think the curriculum is shifting to focus on more practical work.
Faculty
I've had nothing but good experiences. I've gotten close to quite a few staff who have become mentors to me and I often use them as references when applying for scholarships or jobs.
Accommodation
Exams
I didn't take any exams to be accepted at this university. I just had to apply online and submit my current grades.
Fees
Tuition was due at the end of the first month of each semester. I find it less expensive than the tuition of other schools. We paid athletic fees etc. and also each co-op term you undertook cost you a fee.
Examination Structure
I don't have to do very many exams because most of my professors choose to assign final papers instead. I find the exams in this department much harder than final papers because they require you to memorize things which you don't necessarily have to succeed in the field.
