It was the only program of its kind in the province so I was drawn to it, it combines business and social science to learn about why humans interact and make purchases the way they do. It was also a program that didn't require Grade 12 Calculus.
Course Curriculum
It could use updating, realistically it's hard for business programs to stay ahead because the industry is changing so rapidly and trends and consumer patterns change daily but the program encompasses a lot of different aspects of the business industry but could use a frequent refresher.
Fees
Tuition for full-time students (5 courses) for one year is a little under 7000. Additional fees for bus passes, ancillary fees and student fees are usually 800.
Examination Structure
The exam structure is one midterm one final and typically a group project or an essay. These exams are all the same in the format so by the time you get to the end of the degree you have really mastered this type of structure. It usually includes 50 multiple choices, 10 short answers, and 3 long answer/essay questions.
Faculty
Social science is an amazing faculty that makes the business program so unique. It has so many different programs within it all centered around understanding human behavior and taking this and applying it to business creates a unique degree that employers love.
