Co-op because it is a program that lets you get work experience while learning which is very rewarding compared to the alternative of graduating with no work experience. Also, the University of Waterloo is known for its engineering program.
Course Curriculum
Extensive and informative. Classes involving programming are very helpful when applying to jobs since they teach in-demand skills. As a first year, most courses are very general sign general physics, math and so on.
Fees
You pay by semester. Engineering is the most expensive, and coop fees add to that. There are 3 semesters per year, every 4 months. But you alternate between school and co-op every term depending on your stream. The fee for the 1st term was around $17000.
Examination Structure
It is okay. I was scheduled to have two exams on one day once, which was really bad since most exams were very academic heavy. I have only had one set of exams so I can't say much on the topic. I had mainly morning exams which I don't prefer.
Faculty
The University of Waterloo is known for engineering and is probably the most advanced faculty at the University with new buildings and high tech equipment.
