I chose this college because of the prestige and co-op opportunities. Co-op is a big factor because it allows for you to gain practical work experience and money to pay off student loans. Many Waterloo graduates land a job quickly after graduation.
Course Curriculum
It is a relatively manageable course load. The professors are helpful. The program is teaching me nesscery things to know about biology. It is also preparing me well for higher education such as pharmacy school.
Fees
Tuition is about $3000-$4000 per term (4 months). I live in residence and it's also about $3000 per term. The residence is really overpriced. There are also student union fees, insurance fees, faculty charges and etc.
Examination Structure
The exam schedules are posted early in advance so students can plan accordingly. Most of my exams are pretty spread out which is good and I rarely have back to back exams. Even if I do have a problem, it isn't hard to rearrange something else with the professor.
Faculty
It is inclusive and all the staff is helpful. Many clubs and societies organize fun events for students to attend such as semi formals, wellness days, etc.
