- Nine of the ten courses in the certificate have been approved by the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO), and count as the academic component of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
- This certificate can be pursued on a flexible schedule. Most courses are offered in the late afternoon (4-7 pm) and evening time slots (7-10 pm), as well as online.
- If students pursued on a full-time basis, the certificate may be completed over two terms.
- This certificate is open to currently registered York students and to people who have already completed a university degree.
- In this certificate program two streams are available:
- Students to the stand-alone certificate must have completed an undergraduate university degree.
- York students who wish to pursue the certificate concurrently with their degree must have successfully completed 24 credits. All certificate and degree requirements must be completed before graduation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- As a student of Ontario high school, students must have to complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
- Students to apply for certificate must have completed an undergraduate university degree.
Indian Student Eligibility
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
- Indian School Certificate (ISC)
- Intermediate Examination Certificate
- Pre-University Examination Certificate
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
