Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students with a 4-year non-Canadian or non-business degree must first complete the Diploma in Intermediate Accounting (DIAc), which is an 8-month graduate diploma program.
  • If students complete the DIAc with a B average and no grade lower than C, students would be eligible to continue on to the Master of Accounting program, entering Term 2.
  • Students holding a 4-year business degree from a Canadian institution are eligible to apply for direct entry to this program, which is 12 months in duration beginning in the fall term (September each year).
  • Students secure a minimum B average in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work.
  • The prerequisite courses, taken at the undergraduate level, in:
    • Microeconomics and Macroeconomics
    • Statistics/Quantitative Methods
    • Corporate Finance
    • Canadian Business Law
    • Information Systems
    • Introduction to Financial Accounting
    • Introduction to Management Accounting
    • Intermediate Financial Accounting 

Work Experience Eligibility:

Post-degree work experience is recommended but not required.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Submission of GRE/GMAT scores is compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum GRE score for better a chance of admission.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
