The Diploma in Electronic Systems Engineering Technology at Saskatchewan Polytechnic is offered as 2 years program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The program consists of 74 weeks in which Year 1 is of 37 weeks and Year 2 is of 37 weeks.
In this program, students gain knowledge and skills in:
- analog and digital circuits
- automation systems
- data and radio communications
- electronic prototyping
- microprocessors and microcontrollers
- printed circuit board design
- programmable logic controllers
- technical reporting and project management
Students will develop troubleshooting skills through practical labs, build project management skills, and carry out an applied research project.
Student's studies culminate in hands-on projects that challenge students to design, test, and construct their own electronic prototype.
Students use their diploma to ladder into an engineering degree at Lakehead University in Ontario or a technology degree at Memorial University in Newfoundland or a mining engineering technology degree at Queen’s University in Ontario.
Students can get a job in industrial facilities, manufacturers, commercial organizations, communications providers, resource companies, and public agencies.
The average salary of the program goes up to 34,000 USD.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete Grade 12 with a minimum of 60% in Pre-Calculus 30 from a recognized college or institution.
Students also have to successfully complete Physics 30.

Language Requirments:

Students must be able to understand and fluently speak the language of instruction (English) in the program. Proof of linguistic proficiency may be required.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL Scores.
