Tuition Fees
The Department of Elementary Education offers several options for teachers to further their education in second language teaching. These programs will meet the needs of teachers in Alberta's various second language programs including FSL, ESL, international languages, bilingual and immersion programs.Second language pedagogy courses are offered in Summer, Fall and Winter sessions. All courses taught during the school year are scheduled in evenings in order to accommodate teachers.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Admission is based on your complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: your grades, your English proficiency, and completion of required subjects.
There are a few ways to show you meet UAlberta's English Language Requirement. You can:
- Complete a test of English Language Proficiency and earn the minimum score required by Alberta;
- Complete certain courses that have been approved by Alberta and achieving a certain minimum grade in that course;
- Previous Education in English as recognized by the University of Alberta;
- Complete UAlberta's Bridging Program.
