SJMSOM Ph.D Management Studies: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Candidate must be post graduated from a recognized University

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Ph.D. Eligibility

• Candidate with Post Graduation Degree in relevant subject will be eligible for admission.
• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 60% marks with at least two years of work experience and 
• Master of Management /ME/M.Tech/M.Pharma/M.Phil/2 years MBA or 2 years PG Diploma in Management from any institute recognized by a Government body (AICTE/UGC/AIU) with 60% marks.
• M.Sc/M.A/ M.Com/LLM/MCA or equivalent degree with 60% marks.
• CA with 60% marks/6.5 CPI (55% marks/6.0 CPI for SC/ST) in the preceding degree.
• Qualified candidates in GATE/UGC-NET/CAT will be considered for an interview.

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Ph.D. Selection Process: 

After applying for the program, shortlisted applicants will be called for a written test followed by an interview. The written test is based on the aptitude test. Aptitude test will cover four sections – English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning and Data Interpretation).

SJMSOM IIT Bombay How to Apply?

1. Application form can be filled online by visiting the official website of the school.
2. Click on the Apply Online link and fill the required details.
3. Applications are also required to submit the research proposal (at least 1500 words) on a topic of their research interest in place of Statement of Purpose. The proposal should contain problem identification, a brief review of Literature and proposed methodology.

Required Documents:

1. Scan copy of signature and photograph
2. Mark sheet of the last semester / consolidated mark sheet of the qualifying degree. Result awaited candidates have to upload their latest or previous semester’s mark sheet.
3. Caste Certificate (OBC-NC / SC / ST), if applicable.
4. An affidavit for having applied, if the certificate is not yet received.
5. PwD Certificate, if applicable.
6. Sponsorship certificate, if applicable.
7. Research proposal (if applicable), as a single file irrespective of the number of disciplines.
   • The application fee for women/SC/ST and PWD candidates is INR 150/- while INR 300/- for others.
   • Application fee should be paid through Debit Card / Credit Card / SBI Net Banking or Online Payment System.
