Bachelor of Education [B.Ed.] (Mathematics) From CTE, Hooghly

Age Limit :

Age of the fresh Candidates as on 30th June, 2015 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be relaxation of 5 years in favour of fresh PWD category candidates.

Aspirants seeking admission to 2-year Full-time B.Ed program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

• Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/ Mathematics/Language/Music.
• There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of S.C. / S.T. & P.W.D. (Persons with Disabilities) categories.
• Candidates with 50% or 45% marks (as the case may be – in case of SC /ST/PWD) in Bachelor’s degree with Honours may be determined either on the basis of Honours marks only or on the basis of Honours marks & marks of the elective subjects taken together (in case of pass graduate).

Reservation:

22% and 6% of total seats shall be kept reserved for SC & ST candidate (both fresh & deputed) respectively and PWD candidates will enjoy 3% reservation in each of the categories, i.e. in SC/ST & in the unreserved or general category.
