Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) Admission 2023: PhD Application (Open), Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Courses

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University offers UG programs such as Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc.and AH), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Sc. and B.F.Sc. In order to meet the eligibility criteria, a candidate needs to score at least 50% marks in 10+2 or intermediate examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. Admission to B.Tech, B.Sc. (Hons.), B.V.Sc. and B.Tech. programmes is done through a state level entrance test known as AP-EAMCET.

The university has a number of different courses to offer at the postgraduate level, viz. Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc) and Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc).

Candidates seeking admission into any of the Master’s Degree courses must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree examination specified against each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR/VCI. Admission to the postgraduate courses is done through a comprehensive Entrance test followed by a counselling round conducted by the university.

M.F.Sc. and M.Tech.

1. Out of the total seats, 85% of the seats will be reserved for AP applicants and 15% seats will be open for both AP and Telangana applicants given that the latter category candidates appear for an entrance test.
2. The maximum age limit for MFSc and MTech courses is 40 years.
3. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories will get 15%, 6% and 29% reservation respectively.
4. The university has a provision of giving 3% seat reservation to Physically Handicapped candidates.
5. 1/3^rd of the total seats shall be reserved for women. If there won’t be any female candidate they they seats will be given to male candidates.
6. The entrance test for this will be of 200 MCQs. The minimum qualifying marks for taking admission in these courses is 40%. For the SC/ST/OBC candidates there are no minimum qualifying marks. 

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University also offers doctoral level programs which award Ph.D. degree. The Ph.D programs are provided in the field of Animal husbandry, Veterinary, Dairy and Fishery Sciences, etc. The minimum qualification an aspirant needs to have is a Master’s degree in the respective field with the minimum required marks. 

Candidates who are eligible for the Ph.D. program, need to sit for an entrance test conducted by the University and the final merit list will be prepared considering the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test as well as the previous qualifying examination.

• The selection of the candidates under Ph.D. will be done on the basis of Entrance Test, M.F.Sc. score, B.F.Sc. score and Interview in the ratio 50:20:10:20.’
• The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test are 50%.
• The entrance test will have 100 MCQs from the respective post graduation program.
• Candidates who will be selected have to produce all their important original documents including their educational qualification, payment of fees and have to register themselves for the course at College of Fishery Science, Muthukur, SPS Nellore District, A.P on or before the due date. 
• Candidates under Physically Challenged or Differently abled category have been allowed 3% seat reservation, according to the Govt. of India norms. 
• The maximum age limit for an aspirant to enrol in a Ph.D. program is 50 years as on July 1.

For M.Sc., M.Tech.(Dairy Technology and Dairy Microbiology) and Ph.D.

• Fill the application form with the required details and attach the attested copies along with the copy of the counter foil having UTR No. / Transaction I.D. of registration fee payment. 
• The registration charge for the application for the general category is INR 1100/- whereas for SC/ST/PH candidates it is INR 550 which can only be paid through online mode, preferably in Andhra Bank or any other nationalised bank favouring, “Comptroller, SVVU" payable at Tirupati, Account No. 209810100016530, I.F.Sc. Code ANDB0002098, should reach the Registrar, SVVU, Administrative Office, Dr.Y.S.R.Bhavan, TIRUPATI -517502, A.P. on or before the due date either in Person or by Registered post.
