Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science was established in 1991 by Mohamed Sathak Trust with the sole aim of spreading quality education. The college is affiliated to Madras University and approved by AICTE. It offers 20 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate, 3 Diploma courses and 6 research programs to over 4854 students.

The college has produced several University rank holders over the years, across the streams. This is because the students are exposed to high-quality training and practice by the well-qualified staff. The college infrastructure, with its hi-tech and modern labs also enables students to experience real-work environments.
The library has a collection of over 15000 volumes, 25 technical journals and magazines and has a Delnet subscription.
Hostels are provided for girls and boys separately. Free Transport arrangement is provided for pick up and drop from the hostel to college. Library with religious and other important books are available for the benefit of the inmates. Medical care during emergencies is also provided for all the inmates. Generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdown.
A beautiful mosque is located at the college premises for making prayer. 5 times prayer is conducted along with Jumma prayer on Friday in the mosque. Iftar arrangements are also provided in the mosque to break the fasting during Ramzan month. For girl students and lady staff separate prayer hall facility is provided in the college itself for daily prayers.
Indian Overseas Bank and its ATM is located in the college premises for the benefit of students and staff. The students can remit their college and other fees in the bank easily and use the ATM facility to withdraw the money easily without wasting their valuable time unnecessarily in standing long queues.
An auditorium with a capacity of 600 persons is located near the entrance of the main building of the college. The facilities such as LCD Projector for presentations, elaborate Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of functions such as Seminar & Symposia efficiently.
