Avanthi Degree College was established in year 1992 and managed by the Avanthi Educational Society. It is affiliated by Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad. The library is well-equipped with well seating arrangement and a large number of reference books, Journals & Encyclopedias that provide information about wide ranging subjects for students to understand the concepts in their curriculum. The spacious and ventilated seminar hall is accommodating 175 to 200 students with audio-visual aid, OHP and LCD facilities available.

The vision of college to achieve with the real commitment, involvement, and dedication, monitored well and executed in a time bound process with utmost care. The mission of college to sustains contents and creativity besides stimulating proximity and participation. The Deloitte has visited the college campus on 11th June 2010 and organized an awareness programme on “ANTI-SMOKING” and any students participated in the activity. The training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.
