Seshadripuram College offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for a duration of 2 years with a total of 4 semesters. The program aims to provide students the best in industry exposure and a nurturing classroom environment.

Applicants to the Seshadripuram MBA are required to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
Admission into the Seshadripuram MBA program is on the basis of merit in the entrance test. Seats are allotted under two quotas: Government (60 seats), and Management (60 seats).
It is worthwhile to mention here that only domiciled candidates of Karnataka who have qualified either PGCET or KMAT are eligible for the Government quota seats.

The Seshadripuram MBA degree is conducted in accordance with the Bengaluru City University directives. Semester-end examinations are conducted and evaluated by the university and the final certification is also from the university. The University makes attendance mandatory for successful completion of the program.
The program consists of a selection of Compulsory Core Papers, SoftCore Paper, Specialization Papers, and Open Elective Paper. The compulsory and Specialization paper is of 2 – 4 credits each while the Soft Core and Open Elective papers are 2 credits each. Please note that one credit is equivalent to 15 contact hours.

Students need to opt for two specialization streams in their third semester, the options being Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Start-ups, and Productions & Operations Management.
Of these dual specializations, one will be considered major and the other minor. Students are required to study 3 elective papers in major specialization and 2 elective papers in the minor specialization in both the 3rd and 4th semesters. The term-end research and dissertation project has to be undertaken in the major specialization area.

Ques. What is the scheme of examination followed at Seshadripuram College for MBA students?
Ans. The Seshadripuram College MBA program is split into four semesters and students are evaluated by the University at the end of each semester. Students are required to write 70-mark written examinations for all prescribed papers. Students are also evaluated on their employability skills development papers as per the directives of the University.
Every semester students are evaluated internally by the college for 30 marks. The internal evaluation component includes assignments, quizzes, presentations, two periodic tests, and attendance. The internal evaluation is closely monitored by the Board of Examinations (BOE), Bengaluru City University.
The Industry Internship Report (50 marks) and the Master Thesis at the end of the Research and Dissertation Project (100 marks) are also evaluated by external examiners and internal examiners appointed by the BOE. Both internship reports as well as master thesis have a viva voce component.
Ques. What are the practical components of the Seshadripuram College MBA program?
Ans. Seshadripuram MBA students are required to undergo Industry Internship of four weeks and Research & Dissertation Project Work of six weeks mandatorily as practical work.
The Internship has to be undertaken immediately after the second semester and the report submitted during the third semester. Students are expected to intern with an organization, identify a problem area, and under the guidance of a faculty member and organizational mentor, arrive at a solution to the said problem. The Internship carries 50 marks, of which 50% has to be earned through a viva-voce.
There are six weeks Research & Dissertation Project, students are needed to attend 30 days’ compulsory fieldwork in their major specialization area. Thereafter, a Master Thesis is prepared using the fundamentals of research methodology, under the supervision of a Faculty guide and Industry mentor. The Master Thesis needs to be submitted for evaluation at the end of the fourth semester, before the start of the final exams. A total of 100 marks is earmarked for the Master Thesis, of which 50 marks are marked through a round of viva-voce.
