The college is known for its challenging exam system, which may initially lead to 'kt' (backlogs) for some students. However, the faculty is supportive and helps students improve their scores. The backlog fee is 245 INR for one subject and 1145 INR for more than three subjects. Each academic year has two semesters, allowing students to clear their backlogs between them. Placement opportunities are available with companies such as L&T, Hindustan Unilever, and Tata, where the recruitment process evaluates aptitude, project knowledge, and scores from projects completed in the last two years.
Placements typically occur at the end of the final year. The B.Sc Chemical program costs 17,000 INR for the first year, with a 2,000 INR increase each following year. This fee includes registration and lab fees. SC and ST category students can receive a 50-70% fee concession. The college also regularly offers scholarships, with announcements made on the college website.
