Thiruthangal Nadar College Chennai Scholarships

The management of Thiruthangal College offers three various kinds of scholarships for the students as a recognition and reward for the achievements they have made both in academic and sports. Listed below are the details for the same:

• The first type of scholarship is offered to the students who have secured 1000 marks and more in their 12th or HSC examinations. They are eligible for obtaining a merit scholarship and after the full payment of the fees that is paid during the admission, 50% of the fees paid by the students is refunded back to them by the Chennaivazh Thiruthangal Nadar Uravinmurai Dharma Fund in the form of Merit scholarships.
• The second one is for the students who secure 80% of marks and more in the semester exams that are conducted by the university. These students are also given merit scholarship and similarly they are also given 50% of the fees paid by them by the Chennaivazh Thiruthangal Nadar Uravinmurai Dharma Fund as a reward for their hard work.
• The third one is the sports scholarship which is offered to the students who achieve success and greater heights in the state level competitions. These students are also refunded with half the amount of fees paid by them by the Chennaivazh Thiruthangal Nadar Uravinmurai Dharma Fund for motivating them to achieve further.

In addition to the scholarships offered by the college, the students can also apply for the scholarship given by the Government of India. The Government offers scholarships for the students belonging to the Hindu Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes. For that, the annual income of the students’ parents must be less than Two Lakhs Rupees.
