The institute offers admission to the B.Tech course under 3 specializations and higher secondary qualified students in the stream of Science can apply for admission to the course.

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in the Entrance Examination conducted by the Institute.

Eligibility

• Candidates seeking direct admissions to full time B.Tech programmes, must have passed diploma course from any affiliated and approved institute/polytechnic with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category) marks
• For vertical entry, a candidate must have passed Diploma course GKCIET with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category) marks

Selection Criteria

Admissions are purely made on the basis of merit in All India GKCIET Entrance exam or GET-III for the academic year in case of direct admissions.

For vertical entry, the institute conducts a test and a candidate is required to clear the test for selection.

The entrance exam is mandatory for admissions to candidates belonging to states other than West Bengal.
