The college conducts a two week course for officers of friendly neighbouring countries. The aim of this course is to familiarise officers with important facets of management concepts applicable to the defence services within the wider context of regional and global security. It provides exposure to management tools and techniques with special focus on aspects pertaining to operational and logistics planning, understanding of the complexities of management of change in the dynamic environment of the region and focuses on leadership and man management challenges in the armed forces with a view to evolve pragmatic solutions.
Qualification Requirement (QR)
Qualitative Requirement (QR). The QR for the course is officers of the rank of Lt Col/ Maj, Cdr/Lt Cdr, Wg Cdr/ Sqn Ldr or equivalent officers with 08 - 14 years service. Officers who have already attended HDMC are not eligible and must not be detailed on the course.
Candidate should have passed 10th from the recognized board of Education.
Objectives. To provide an insight and expose the participants to the undermentioned concepts:-
(a) Project formulation, planning and lifecycle.
(b) Project scheduling using networks.
(c) Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation Review Technique
(d) Time Estimation.
(e) PM Software in scheduling and monitoring of projects.
(f) Resource levelling and scheduling.
(g) Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
(h) Individual Competence Baseline (ICB)
