National Institute of Design (NID), Kurukshetra, also referred to as NID Haryana is an autonomous institute for Design Education and Research established in 2016 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Admission to NID Kurukshetra is completely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to NID Kurukshetra need to apply online on its official website @ https://admissions.nid.edu/. NID Kurukshetra offers admission to B.Des based on the total score obtained by the students in the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) which has two stages:
- DAT Prelims
- DAT Mains
First, the candidates will have to appear for NID DAT Prelims. Based on the score in Prelims, the candidates will be shortlisted for DAT Mains. The admission will be offered based on the sum total of the weighted scores in DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. For allocation of seats for NID Kurukshetra Admission, the qualified candidates will have to appear for NID DAT Counselling. The seats will be allocated based on the score and category of the candidates. Those allocated a seat will have to accept the seat and pay the course fee for admission confirmation.
