Master of Science [M.Sc] + Ph.D. From IISER TVM, Thiruvananthapuram

Integrated Ph.D. Programme is a research programme. At the end of the successful completion, Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees are awarded. 

The first three semesters will consist of core and elective courses specialized in one subject (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics). The fourth semester will consist of advanced courses and project work. After the successful completion of comprehensive and project work, the student will continue with research leading to the Ph.D. degree.

IISER Kerala Integrated Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences/ Chemical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences/ Physical Sciences/ Engineering/ Technology and related areas as applicable to individual Schools, under the 10+2+¾ system.
• Candidates seeking admission to School of Physics must have a valid score in Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).
• The minimum requirement for admission to the programme is 55% marks or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA in the Bachelor’s degree (as declared by the University).
• The minimum requirement in the qualifying degree is relaxed for SC/ST and PD candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Note- Students appearing in the final year Bachelor degree examination are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, their admission will be subjected to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria for the individual school.

IISER Kerala Integrated Ph.D. Selection Criteria

Applications for the programme will be invited through press advertisement and announcement at the Institute’s website: www.iiser tvm.ac.in.

Short-listed candidates who have applied for School of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics will be called for a written test and those shortlisted in the written test have to appear for interview(s). In the School of Physics, candidates with a valid JEST scorecard will be called for the interview.

How to Apply for Integrated Ph.D. at IISER Kerala?

• Applicants should complete the online application form at the official portal of I-Ph.D. Only online applications are accepted.
• Applicants will also be prompted to upload necessary supporting documents, like photograph, proof of date of birth, mark sheet/grade transcript, community certificate etc. in JPEG format only. Go to Required documents for the information regarding the size of the files.
• Candidates are required to make a payment of Rs. 500/- [candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from payment] as processing fee through https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm
• On submission of the online application form, the applicants will receive an acknowledgement email with an application number.

Candidates who wish to apply to individual/different schools through different streams (JGEEBILS, JAM, NBHM-MA/MSc, JEST & IISER test) need to fill separate application forms, and separate fee has to be paid for each application.

Short-listed applicants will be invited for a written test/interview at IISER TVM.
