CA Foundation is an entry-level test for students who choose to work as Chartered Accountants. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Counduct the CA Foundation Exam Two Time in a Year. It is a four-paper test administered at the national level. Previously, the CA Foundation test was known as the CA – CPT exam. Candidates who want to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant after completing their 10+ 2 will register for the CA Foundation test.
Candidates must have completed 10+ 2 in order to sit for CA Foundation. Candidates who have completed their bachelor's or master's degree are not entitled to take the CA Foundation test. The first move is to enrol in the CA Foundation programme. Your registration will be valid for three years after you have completed it. During this time, candidates may apply for the CA Foundation exam in May or November. Candidates are allowed to apply and take the exam up to six times in three years.
