In India, the CA Intermediate exam is the second stage of the Chartered Accountancy course. It consists of eight courses and approximately 7000 pages of research material that must be completed in the nine months allotted for study. The group method adds to the difficulty of the exam because each group consists of four subjects, and a candidate must pass all four papers to pass the group. Failure to pass one topic automatically results in the failure of the entire group, implying that the student fails all of the topics he has passed. Eligibility Criteria: Students can register for the CA Intermediate after passing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) or the CA Foundation Course. Graduates, postgraduates, and students with similar degrees can also enrol for the CA Intermediate test without first taking the entry level tests.
